May 2010, 900 mission leaders from 85 countries representing nearly 100,000 missionaries met together at the Tokyo 2010 Global Mission Consultation. As an outcome, the consultation issued the following declaration.
The Tokyo 2010 Declaration repeatedly states that both the process and product of missions should have at its heart “making disciples of all peoples in this generation.”
The essential work of mission mobilization is to best fit workers into global contribution.
Prayer Letters to the Home Team
I greatly appreciated Allan Hedberg’s comments on missionary letter writing (“Prayer Letters to the Home Team,” April 2010) and the need to better communicate God’s work with my sending partners.

Westerners and Middle Easterners
Perry Shaw’s “Westerners and Middle Easterners Serving Together” (January 2010) was excellent.
A key theme permeates this book: the power of educating women, which proved to be an irresistible social force for reformation.
