Recent world events have raised the sensitivity of many members of sending churches to the risks which missionaries expose themselves and their families. These missionaries’ examples inspire some to take greater risks for God in their own lives.

The case for ministry education for the Global Church is frequently made (Greenman and Green 2014) and millions of dollars annually are poured into Bible schools, colleges, and seminaries in the West and in the Majority World, yet the envisioned effect is not realized.
